On July 15, 2022, after layers of screening, with excellent innovative solutions, Topcentral® broke through the siege and stood out from more than 500 start-ups across the country. We successfully joined the accelerated camp of the ending plastic waste innovation platform and became one of the top 12 start-ups.
AEPW is an international non-profit organization that cooperates with the government, environmental and economic development NGOs and communities around the world to meet the challenge of ending plastic waste in the environment. Through various projects and partnerships, the AEPW focuses on solutions in four strategic areas: infrastructure, innovation, education and participation, and waste disposal. As of October 2020, the alliance has more than 50 member companies, strategic partners and supporters, from organizations and multinational companies in the whole plastic value chain.
On the welcome day, general manager Ma Yiming bring the theme of "Topcentral’s innovation in sustainability" to alliance members and other enterprises. Under the goal of carbon neutrality, the positive role of reducing pollution and carbon, ensuring sustainable development is increasingly prominent. By proposing innovative solutions for the value chain of the plastic industry, it shows the Chinese power to end the field of plastic waste and also explores an innovative way for the future of plastic waste treatment.
On the day of the welcome day, BASF, Dow Chemical Company, Lyondellbasell, Milliken, rachem, Saudi Basic Industry Company, covestro, TOMRA, China Petroleum Chemical Industry Federation and AspenTech, the 10 member enterprises of AEPW held a reverse roadshow with Topcentral® conduct in-depth communication.
We focus on the research, development, manufacturing, sales and technical services of green low-carbon functional materials, bio based and degradable materials modification. It has a low-carbon PCR material recovery path, from waste collection, primary selection, carefully selection, recycling processing to recycled materials and back-end application evaluation, which truly realizes the high added value recycling of recycled plastics. We can provide customers with innovative solutions of different 100% PCR materials and carry out carbon footprint or LCA, traceability management requirements according to customer requirements. "Zero" carbon products (FreeCBO2®) and services can also be provided according to customer‘s requirements. We have had a post-doctoral workstation and an innovation platform for industry university research cooperation. Besides, we will continue to maintain the ranks of small and medium-sized enterprises that are "specialized, special and new". At present, 40 patents have been authorized, of which invention patents account for nearly 50% and 74 trademarks have registered. We hope to upgrade to an innovative platform for functional polymer materials by developing business models and IP solutions based on products and services.
This activity is the second phase of the acceleration camp after the China end of plastic waste alliance officially launched the "Shanghai innovation platform for ending plastic waste" in Shanghai in 2020. The purpose is to identify and select Chinese start-ups with strong influence in the field of ending plastic waste and through acceleration and docking, achieve more proof of concept and pilot projects, obtain investment support from the alliance and member enterprises, and expand their influence. Topcentral® hopes to become their peers, build a sustainable collaborative innovation ecology by relying on common belief, collective action, multi-party cooperation, strong leadership and continuous innovation, becomes an excellent enterprise that can influence the plastic value chain, and jointly change the global plastic waste management mode.
