Recently, initiated by the All-China Environmental Protection Federation, the Green Cycle Inclusive Special Committee of the All-China Environmental Protection Federation, Ningbo Topcentral New Materials Co., Ltd. and other units jointly drafted the group standard "Accounting Guidelines for Emission Reduction of Alternative Materials for Plastic Packaging" has been compiled. By defining carbon emission reduction accounting standards for plastic packaging materials and using alternative or recycled materials, we can better promote alternative material design and emission reduction technology selection. Encourage the use of alternative materials and reproduced materials with more emission reduction effects to reduce the production and use of fossil raw materials and achieve the goals of reducing plastic pollution and carbon emissions.

Every year, the whole society recycles more than 60 million tons of waste plastics, and the recycling volume is second only to scrap steel in the field of renewable resources, which plays a huge role in carbon emission reduction. The method of accounting for the emission reduction of alternative plastic packaging materials is further clarified in the form of standards, which is a very important task at present, and it is also a good foundation for relevant enterprises to actively participate in carbon emission trading. Topcentral^® has participated in the whole process from standard project proposal, demonstration, project approval to drafting and review, and has taken a corporate responsibility to improve the industry‘s comprehensive and systematic normative documents and promote the goal of reducing plastic pollution and carbon emissions.

As an important part of the green recycling industry chain, Topcentral^® has been actively promoting the green transformation and high-quality development of the entire industry chain for a long time, and has accelerated the layout of zero-carbon industries and diversified application scenarios of zero-carbon products around the vision and goal of "becoming a functional professional platform driven by digitalization, scientific and technological innovation and win-win talents". At present, Topcentral^® has participated in the formulation of 3 national standards, of which 2 have been released, 2 group standards and 1 line standard, actively responding to the construction of Ningbo waste-free city, and proposing that "green, low-carbon and high-performance engineering plastics technology innovation and demonstration promotion" was selected as a typical case of Ningbo green and low-carbon shortlisted, and included in the "2022 Ningbo Carbon Peak and Carbon Neutrality Annual Report" Blue Book; The project "Dual Carbon Recyclable Technology Helps the Home Appliance Industry Chain Achieve ABS Closed-Loop High-value Breakthrough and Industrialization Innovation" written by Topcentral^® was selected as the 2022 China-EU carbon neutrality innovation cooperation demonstration project, forming a new development model of green and sustainable carbon neutrality that can be replicated and promoted; Topcentral^® joined hands with 100+ enterprises to jointly formulate 5 basic standards for recycled plastics...
