WTO
Sustainable trade in plastics
round table
On May 2nd, the Round Table on Sustainable Trade in Plastics was held at the WTO in Geneva, Switzerland. The meeting was organized by the Round Table on Sustainable Trade (www.Sustainability Rounds. org), co organized by France and the Gambia, to discuss with African, Chinese, and European companies how the WTO can support the establishment of more environmentally sustainable supply chains.
Ambassador Zhang Xiangchen, Ambassador of France and the Gambia to the WTO and Deputy Director General of the WTO, stated in his speech that the United Nations is formulating a plastic convention to address the issue of plastic pollution. Plastic trade has extensive connections with the private sector and supply chain throughout the plastic lifecycle. The main goals are to reduce production and consumption, eliminate harmful substances and chemicals to the environment, properly dispose of plastic waste, identify sustainable alternatives and substitutes, and establish recycling systems and regulations and standards to protect human health and the environment.
The attending speakers come from institutions and enterprises such as UNCTAD, ISO, Europe, Africa, Latin America, international foundations, and China. Share sustainable development, environmental health impacts, and solutions for waste plastics.
The meeting adopts a closed door invitation system, and Ningbo TopcentralNew Materials Co., Ltd. participated in the meeting online. Topcentral® Founder and CEO Ma Yiming delivered a speech at the meeting.

Mr. Ma gave an online report on the conference theme
Mr. Ma gave an online report on the conference theme
Mr. Ma first introduced and shared the current situation and development of the recycled materials industry, and briefly introduced Topcentralon the international stage. He clearly expressed his views in the report:
First, mandatory regulatory requirements for high recovery content and low carbon emissions recommended by the World Trade Organization;
Secondly, increasing carbon taxes in plastic products to promote brands to use more recycled plastics to replace native new materials;
Thirdly, more and more training advertisements are asking why humans need to use more recycled plastic products and fewer raw materials, how to better protect the environment and reduce Earth pollution, better control the greenhouse effect, and solve the challenge of global climate change;
Fourthly, build and promote innovative solutions for the "Five Easy" closed-loop industrial chain full recycling system that is easy to recycle, recycle, use, recycle, and trace throughout the entire industry, laying the foundation for achieving an infinite recycling world in the future;
Fifth, explore the design and implementation of a comprehensive innovation ecosystem that combines full recycling closed-loop industry, business model innovation, and environmental charity;
Sixth, systematically initiate individual and corporate carbon credit evaluations. Adopting a comprehensive system solution of mechanical recycling, chemical recycling, and carbon limitation, the recovery rate will be increased from 12% to 40% within 10 years (before 2033). By 2040, the potential market size of the recycling plastics industry value chain is expected to reach $1 trillion, and the recycling rate of recycling plastic recycling is close to 80%.
My conclusion is that in the future, everyone will have three credit models, including financial credit reporting and carbon credit reporting (carbon incentives: ™)、 Public Welfare Charity Credit Reporting (Ocean Partners: ™)。”
At this round table meeting, Topcentral®Learn and understand the progress and specific content of different plastic initiatives and conferences by global industry representatives, international organization representatives, scientific experts, and trade officials, and further understand international cutting-edge trends such as reducing the use of harmful plastics and plastic products, the use of plastic substitutes, and the business challenges faced by enterprises and value chains; At the same time, President Ma‘s speech at the meeting provided suggestions and suggestions for the development of the WTO, future treaty formulation, and other related aspects, making it a strong point Explore and strive for green, low-carbon, and sustainable development on a larger scale on the international stage.
Topcentral® We will continue to pay attention to and actively participate in conferences or activities in related fields. We will also actively express our perspectives and insights on the international stage, as part of the innovative solutions for PCR material systems, committed to sustainable innovation.
