October 8-15, 2025 – The 23rd International Trade Fair Plastics + Rubber K 2025 in Düsseldorf, Germany, one of the world's largest plastics and rubber exhibitions, concluded successfully at the Düsseldorf exhibition grounds. This edition brought together over 3,200 exhibitors from 66 countries and regions, showcasing the latest industry advancements. Spanning more than 177,000 square meters of exhibition space, the event presented a comprehensive future outlook for the plastics and rubber industry – from high-performance machinery and new materials to innovative solutions supporting the circular economy and climate protection.
Following the fair's conclusion, a strategic mission representing the highest level of China's plastic recycling industry recently concluded successfully in Europe. Organized by the China Plastics Processing Industry Association, the European Plastic Recycling Research Delegation brought together leading representatives from China's recycling, renewable resources, and environmental equipment sectors for in-depth investigations and exchanges. Mr. Ma Yiming, Founder and CEO of Ningbo Topcentral New Materials Co., Ltd., participated fully in this high-level event as a core member. This was not merely a learning opportunity, but a strategic initiative to anchor TOPCENTRAL®'s future development direction and connect with global resources.
Europe, as a global rule-setter and pioneer in the plastic circular economy, offers highly valuable experience for China, which is currently in a critical period of industrial upgrading. This research trip aimed precisely to deeply "unlock" the success codes of Europe.
The EU's "Plastics Strategy," mandatory recycled content usage ratios, and other regulations provide the industry with clear and powerful development momentum. Europe maintains a globally leading position with advanced technological systems in areas such as high-end sorting technologies (e.g., NIR sorting), chemical recycling (reverting plastics to monomers), and food-grade recycled plastics (rPET). Furthermore, Europe's mature collection systems and whole-industry-chain collaboration were key reasons attracting the Chinese delegation.
This visit was also a two-way empowerment journey of showcasing and exploring. During exchanges, TOPCENTRAL® actively presented its R&D achievements in the field of sustainable polymer materials to international industry authorities and potential partners, highlighting accomplishments and unique advantages particularly in the industrial application of high-value-added recycled plastics. This move effectively promoted international cooperation intentions for the company in areas like recycled material exports, technology licensing, and production capacity investment, opening new prospects for TOPCENTRAL®'s global market layout and advancing from "Leading in China" towards "Global Participation."
This European research tour represents a strategic investment of exceptional value. It brought back not only cutting-edge technical information and market insights but also first-hand experience and systematic understanding of the global circular economy wave. This holds milestone significance for enhancing TOPCENTRAL®'s international competitiveness and clarifying the company's future technology roadmap and market strategy.
